The original parchment scroll is from the 16th century and contains parts of the
Book of Esther (Megillat Esther), which are read during the Purim festival as a
remembrance of the great deliverance of the Jewish people that God
accomplished through Esther. The publication was carried out under the
National Program "80 Years of the Salvation of the Bulgarian Jews."
